Being “normal” is not a bad thing, but when we fall into the trap of seeing our way of life or our perspective on the world as the norm, we narrow our view on the world. Seeing our own blind spots is difficult. And as we become more interconnected, seeking ways to overcome them is vital.
We need to be willing to ask difficult questions, be vulnerable about what we don’t know, and hear the voices of people who live and see the world differently than we do. This will help us to grow and to accept and to have an open mind, leading to greater respect and peace with others.
