Turning Pollution into Paint: Toxic Art Project

Ever Widening Circles

Did you know that combining art and science can have the power to physically transform our environment? (And we don’t mean by hanging a painting on the wall!)

Today we’re exploring how two professors from Ohio State University saw a problem then put their heads and very different backgrounds together to solve it!

Why It Matters

The solution that Guy Riefler and John Sabraw pursued proves that innovation can solve our toughest problems! Toxic Art is a great example of how, sometimes, solutions to our own biggest problems begin by working together outside the box.

You may love art or you may love science, but think about all that can happen when we combine the two fields!

Let's Talk About It
  1. What made this project successful?
  2. Can you think of other solutions that have been discovered by collaboration?
  3. Think of a time that working with a partner helped you! What qualities did each of you bring to the table that made this successful?

Great Big Story
